The Clackamas County government issued the following news release:
The Clackamas County Board of Commissioners has sent a letter to Gov. Ted Kulongoski asking for his support and assistance in working with the legislature to modify Measure 37 within the first 90 days of the session.
Clackamas County has an extraordinary number of claims filed under Measure 37. "We know this may be a difficult, contentious effort, but time is of the essence," the Board wrote. "Clackamas County is faced with reviewing subdivision and partition applications that will allow new development, based on Measure 37 claims."
