WASHINGTON, Jan. 19 -- Rep. Mike Simpson, R-Idaho, has introduced the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals Judgeship and Reorganization Act of 2007 (H.R. 221), legislation that would "amend title 28, U.S. Code, to provide for the appointment of additional federal circuit judges, to divide the Ninth Judicial Circuit of the U.S. into two circuits."
The bill, introduced on Jan. 4, was referred to the House Judiciary Committee.
