Article: GOVERNOR'S TRANSPORTATION VETO CUTS DEEPEST IN RURAL MINNESOTA

Minnesota State Rep. Loren Solberg, DFL-District 3B, issued the following news release:

State Rep. Loren Solberg (DFL-Grand Rapids) is calling foul about the recent announcement that because of the state's underfunding of transportation, $100 million in new federal funds that were designated for Greater Minnesota will be shifted to the metro area.

According to a new report, the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) discovered late last year that they were $300 million short for metropolitan area projects through 2010.
