The city of Sioux City issued the following news release:
December 31 is the deadline to file for Urban Revitalization Tax Exemption on eligible properties which received property improvements in this calendar year. Physical improvements made to residential or commercial properties may be eligible for up to 10 years of tax abatement in certain areas of Sioux City.
Improved properties must be located in Urban Revitalization Areas. The largest Urban Revitalization Areas in Sioux City are:
Greenville-Kelly Park - Approximately the area of Gordon Drive north to 22nd Street between Highway 75/Fairmont Street on the west and Mulberry Street on the east.
