I have to confess I am deeply infatuated with Ridley Scott at the moment. If I were writing this in 1979, it would be because of Lt. Ellen Ripley (Sigourney Weaver) in Alien (Ridley Scott, 1979), seriously the greatest kick-ass chick of my time; a few years later, it would be because of Thelma and Louise (Ridley Scott, 1991), but now it's the man himself I'm enamoured with for providing succinct and fascinating insights that enthrall me. Although I publish a journal and web site called Qstage (http://members.ozemail.com.au/-qstage), I also work as an actor and sometime director. I've been lucky enough to work in a broad range of performance mediums: video, CD-ROM, radio, theatre, television ...
