Article: REP. ROTHMAN 'CAUTIOUSLY OPTIMISTIC' ABOUT STEWART AIRPORT ACQUISITION BY PORT AUTHORITY

Rep. Steve Rothman, D-N.J. (9th CD), issued the following statement:

Yesterday, the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey's Board of Directors authorized the agency to acquire Stewart Airport, located in the Hudson Valley in New York. If successful, the move is expected to relieve air traffic at Teterboro Airport, as well as Newark, LaGuardia, and John F. Kennedy Airports. Rep. Steve Rothman's (D-NJ) statement follows.
