Article: TEMPE CITY COUNCIL APPOINTS NEW CITY CLERK

The city of Tempe issued the following news release:

The Tempe City Council has appointed 20-year Tempe employee Jan Hort as City Clerk. The unanimous vote took place at the Feb. 1 City Council meeting.

Hort began her city career in 1987 as an Assistant Procurement Officer in the Purchasing Division of the Financial Services Department, and later earned a promotion to Procurement Officer. She then was promoted to be a Management Assistant in the Traffic Operations and Streets Division of the Public Works Department. Most recently, Hort has worked as Engineering Services Administrator in the Engineering Division of Public Works.
