Article: 33-YEAR-OLD PURDUE UNIVERSITY GRADUATE STUDENT FOUND IN MEXICO

Purdue University issued the following news release:

A 33-year-old Purdue University graduate student missing since Jan. 15 has been found unharmed in Mexico.

Purdue University police say that according to reports from police in El Paso, Eric M. Campbell of Avilla, Ind., was found in a hotel and his absence had been voluntary.

Campbell had just enrolled as a doctoral student at Purdue. Four days after classes started on Jan. 8, he went to El Paso en route to Juarez, Mexico. When Campbell did not return to campus, Purdue police contacted El Paso authorities, said Purdue spokesperson Jeanne Norberg.
