WASHINGTON, Feb. 3 -- Sen. Olympia J. Snowe, R-Maine, has introduced the Small Business Tax Flexibility Act of 2007 (S. 270), legislation that would "permit startup partnerships and S corporations to elect taxable years other than required years."
The bill, introduced on Jan. 11, was co-sponsored by Sen. Blanche Lincoln, D-Arkansas. It was referred to the Senate Finance Committee.
