Article: STATE NATURAL RESOURCES BOARD SEEKS STEWARDSHIP COMMENTS

The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources issued the following news release:

The public is invited to provide written comments and recommendations to a special subcommittee of the state Natural Resources Board formed to provide input on reauthorization of the Knowles-Nelson Stewardship Fund.

Comments are due by 4 p.m. on Wednesday, February 21 in order for the subcommittee to review them before meeting their next meeting on February 27 at 2 p.m. in Madison.

In his Tuesday Budget address, Gov. Jim Doyle called on the state legislature to reauthorize the Stewardship program through the year 2020, increasing Stewardship Bonding authorization from $60 million to $105 million per year ...
