The Virginia Housing Development Authority issued the following news release:

The Virginia Housing Development Authority recently reached a milestone by servicing its 1,000th Habitat for Humanity Virginia home loan.

"By servicing Habitat loans on an ongoing basis, VHDA increases our capacity to build housing for those most in need," said Sylvia M. Hallock, Executive Director of Habitat for Humanity Virginia. "VHDA also promotes a sense of empowerment to these homeowners by providing them with knowledge about their mortgage and offering quality loan servicing. This has been a wonderful relationship - it allows Habitat to do what it does best and VHDA to do what it does best."
