Article: Alabama Inventor Develops Toner Cartridge Sealing Structure

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 19 -- Steven Miller of Mobile, Ala., has developed a sealing structure for a toner cartridge.

According to the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A toner cartridge includes improved sealing mechanisms to prevent the escape of toner from the cartridge. Soft and rigid seals are used to seal the distal ends of the developer roller and doctor bar."

The inventor was issued U.S. Patent No. 7,177,565 on Feb. 13.

The patent has been assigned to Cartridge Corporation of America Inc., Clearwater, Fla.
