NEW DELHI, India, Feb 19 -- Exam stress may have set helpline numbers ringing, but things are slightly different in schools with peer educators. These peer educators are usually Class XII students and help counsel their batchmates about exam stress.
All these students are professionally trained and the master trainers are even qualified to prepare other peer educators. Amalina Dave, a Class XII student at Springdales, Dhaula Kuan, is a master trainer and says her job is to bridge the gap between students, teachers and parents. Dave herself offers counselling and advice on issues she can easily tackle, the other cases she refers to her school counsellor.
