Article: Japanese Inventors Develop Picture Receiver Speaker System

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 22 -- Kazuhiko Ikeuchi and Yuichi Matsuoka, both of Takatsuki, Japan, and Kazue Satoh of Neyagawa, Japan, have developed a speaker system for picture receiver and speaker installing method.

According to the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A speaker system for a picture receiver provides for lessening of the casing width of the picture receiver while assuring highly uniform acoustic characteristic at listening points in a sufficiently broad range."
