As conflict in the Middle East continues to dominate the headlines and spark international debate, the next generation of policy makers and scholars are demanding more courses about the Middle East, hoping to better understand the politics and cultures of the region. To address this growing interest, the staff at the Crown Center for Middle East Studies at Brandeis University is offering three new courses about the modern Middle East in spring 2007.
