The Missouri Department of Agriculture issued the following news release:

Elizabeth Schlueter, Missouri State Fair Commission Acting Chair, announced today that Marion Lucas has been named the Director of the Missouri State Fair. "We feel fortunate to have been able to hire someone with the experience and knowledge that Mr. Lucas brings to the position. He will be able to take charge and lead immediately. We welcome him back to Missouri," said Schlueter.

Lucas who currently lives in Surprise, Arizona served as the Director of the Missouri State Fair from 1981 to 1986. After leaving the Missouri State Fair in 1986, Mr. Lucas began serving as the Iowa State Fair manager and CEO from 1986 ...
