The Toughest Jobs

Sky News ran a story on 26th November, which listed the results of a survey carried out by the Discovery Channel show Hard Labour, to find the ten toughest jobs. Rankings were made according to the likelihood of accidental death or injury, working hours, skill levels and difficulty as well as mental and physical stress.

They were:

* London Cabbie;

* trawlerman;

lumberjack;

demolition worker;

miner;

oil rig labourer;

aircraft carrier flight deck officers;

abattoir worker;

scaffolders; and

railway maintenance.
