Article: W.VA. BOARD, STATE SUPERINTENDENT, LINCOLN COUNTY OFFICIALS TO WORK TOGETHER IN EFFORT TO RETURN SCHOOLS TO LOCAL CONTROL

The West Virginia Department of Education issued the following news release:

The West Virginia Board of Education, the state superintendent and the Lincoln County school board have joined forces in a renewed spirit of cooperation to return Lincoln's schools back to local control.

"I look at this as a friendly discussion where we look at what it is we need to do and develop what essentially will be a blueprint for moving forward," state Board of Education President Lowell Johnson said. "If we are on the same page, we can make this work."
