Rep. Susan Davis (D-CA) was recognized by the Humane Society of the United States for her advocacy for animal welfare issues and receiving a perfect score on the 2006 Humane Scorecard. Davis was honored with the Humane Society's "Humane Advocate Award" for 2006.
