With only a few months on the job, Quincy's new Code Enforcement Officer Kenneth Burke is wasting no time. Burke has conducted almost 200 inspections in his first two months on the job.
The Code Enforcement Officer was created by Mayor Phelan to help crack down on violations of many of the "quality of life" ordinances that can lead to the deterioration of city neighborhoods. A cornerstone of the Mayor's "Neighborhoods First" initiative, the Code Enforcement Officer is involved in such issues as storage of junk, improper disposal of garbage or trash, overgrowth of yards, abandoned vehicles, illegal paving, illegal parking, sign and ...
