Article: Colonial rule hits A.C.George Washington captures A-10 crown, 3rd NCAA bid in row

ATLANTIC CITY - Karl Hobbs talked to his upperclassmen on the bus ride to Boardwalk Hall. He wanted them to tell stories to the freshmen, to those who haven't been to the NCAA tournament before.

He wanted the 2005 team to let everyone know what it was like to win an Atlantic 10 Conference championship and go to the Big Dance.

Hobbs wanted those stories to inspire his No. 3 George Washington team.

And, now, the Colonials will have their own stories to tell after beating fourth-seeded Rhode Island 78-69 in the Atlantic 10 championship at Boardwalk Hall on Saturday.
