Take Advantage Of The Earned Income Tax Credit

With the 2007 tax return filing season underway, it is important that individuals properly claim all available tax benefits on their 2006 tax returns. One of these tax benefits is the Earned Income Tax Credit.

The Earned Income Tax Credit was created in 1975, on a bipartisan basis, to help offset Social Security taxes for low-income workers. Since that time, it has grown to be one of the country's most successful anti-poverty programs.
