Article: CREATIVE NONFICTION WRITER LEE GUTKIND VISITS APPALACHIAN MARCH 22

Appalachian State University issued the following press release:

Lee Gutkind decided to write creative nonfiction rather than fiction when he was in his mid-20s. He made that decision to "become more mature by broadening my scope of experiences," he says.

The writer and essayist will read from his work and talk about his craft March 22 as part of Appalachian State University's Hughlene Bostian Frank Visiting Writers Series.

Gutkind will present "The 5Rs of Creative Nonfiction" from 2-3:15 p.m. in Plemmons Student Union's Table Rock Room on campus.

Beginning at 7:30 p.m., he will read from and talk about his work during the Visiting Writers Series presentation, also in Table Rock Room.
