Gov. Eliot Spitzer, D-N.Y., has issued the following news release:
Gov. Eliot Spitzer and Lt. Gov. David Paterson today were joined by a coalition representing the state's community health care centers who voiced their support for the Governor's efforts to reform New York's health care system.
The Governor's Executive Budget promotes access to primary care for uninsured New Yorkers by providing a more equitable distribution of funding to community health care centers and other primary care providers. In addition, the budget provides an unprecedented expansion of Child Health Plus, which will lead to coverage for more than 400,000 children in New York.
