INTRODUCTION
Many interesting science presentations and discussion of issues regarding uncertainty factors, extrapolation (e.g., from animals to humans, from high to low dose), and new methods for risk assessment (e.g., physiologically based pharmacokinetic models, biologically based dose-response models) occurred during the 2-day Board of Scientific Counselors (BOSC) Workshop on USEPA's Risk Assessment Principles and Practices (February 2-3, 2005).
