Article: Every fifth young woman falls prey to sexual victimization

Washington, March 13 -- Researchers at the University at Buffalo's Research Institute on Addictions have found that 18 percent of young women have experienced sexual victimization.

In the study, victimization has been described as unwanted sexual contact, verbally coerced sex, rape or attempted rape. Among this group, the majority (approximately 66 percent) stated that an intimate partner victimized them.
