Article: SAARC car rally to begin from Bangladesh tomorrow

New Delhi, March 14 -- The first ever SAARC (South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation) car rally will be flagged off by Chief Advisor to the Bangladesh Government, Dr. Fakruddin Ahmed, from Cox's Bazar in Bangladesh tomorrow.

The rally envisages showcasing the unity and the diversity of the region, in an attempt to tap the vast potential of intra-SAARC trade, investment and tourism opportunities.

Thirty Tata Safaris, carrying about 120 participants from SAARC, will cover over 8,200 km, over a 30-day period. The rally will reach Delhi on April 2, coinciding with the SAARC Summit and will be flagged off ...
