Gov. Ernie Fletcher today presented the first William Cooper Faith and Community Action award to Kenny Boyd, executive director of Youth Alive, Inc. in Louisville, during the 2007 Governor's Prayer Breakfast at the Frankfort Convention Center.

The Youth Alive program was inspired by Mr. Boyd's dream to begin a youth development and support program that provides educational support and delinquency prevention services for at-risk youth in disadvantaged neighborhoods.
