WASHINGTON, March 20 -- Sen. Robert Menendez, D-New Jersey, has introduced a bill (S. 882) to "require a pilot program on the facilitation of the transition of members of the Armed Forces to receipt of veterans health care benefits upon completion of military service."
The bill, introduced on March 14, was co-sponsored by Sens. Frank R. Lautenberg, D-New Jersey; Barbara Mikulski, D-Maryland; Robert P. Casey, D-Pennsylvania; Dick Durbin, D-Illinois; and John Kerry, D-Massachusetts. It was referred to the Senate Veterans' Affairs Committee.
