USDA's Jerry Miller retires

Jerry F. Miller, research geneticist with the U.S. Department of Agriculture-Agricultural Research Service (USDA-ARS), Northern Crop Science Laboratory in Fargo, North Dakota, USA, retired on January 3, 2007, after working nearly 31 years with the USDA-ARS in the field of plant breeding and genetics.

Miller was raised on a wheat farm near Sidney, Nebraska, USA. He received his BS and MS degrees from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and his PhD from North Dakota State University (NDSU), Fargo, for his work on hybrid wheat.
