Gov. Donald L. Carcieri, R-R.I., issued the following press release:

Gov. Donald L. Carcieri today appointed Warwick resident Kathleen C. Hittner, M.D. to chair the Rhode Island Airport Corporation (RIAC). Hittner, who replaces James V. Rosati, is the President and CEO of The Miriam Hospital in Providence.

Governor Carcieri appointed Dr. Hittner to the RIAC in 2005, where she chaired the General Aviation Committee. She had previously served on the RIAC from March 2001 to December 2002 and, in 2002, had chaired the General Aviation Committee.
