Louisiana State University issued the following news release:

LSU's University College recognized more than 1,100 students plus University College staff awardees at its annual Honors Convocation on Saturday, Feb. 24, at the LSU Union Theater. Among those recognized were Chancellor's Honor Roll students, who had a 4.0 grade point average; Dean's List students, who had GPA's between 3.5 and 3.999; University College scholarship recipients; and Dean's Academic Distinction Award winners.

Carolyn C. Collins, associate vice chancellor and the dean of University College, congratulated freshmen for their outstanding academic achievements and extended encouragement for their pursuit toward degrees. ...
