Article: SURPRISE POLICE CITIZENS PATROL ACADEMY COMING UP

The city of Surprise issued the following news release:

The Surprise Police Citizens Patrol will hold their semi-annual academy, starting on Thursday, April 12, at 6 p.m. The six-week course will be held at the Senior Center on Hollyhock Drive.

The Surprise Police Department is looking for dedicated men and women volunteers to take part of the Citizens Patrol, where they will receive training in a multitude of law enforcement related areas. In addition to training, the police will provide uniforms and patrol vehicles.

The mission of the Citizens Patrol is to assist the Surprise Police Department and to help ensure a safe environment for people who live and work in Surprise.
