SAM study marches ahead on pediatric pimecrolimus research
Indianapolis - A year after the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) required "black box" warnings on the topical immunomodulators tacrolimus and pimecrolimus, parents' reluctance to use the treatments tor their children's atopic dermatitis appears to be waning, especially as there are few new alternatives to offer, according to Patricia Treadwell, M.U., a professor in the department of pediatrics, Indiana University School of Medicine, Indianapolis.
