Jefferson County issued the following news release:

The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office is asking for community assistance in identifying a suspect involved in a series of business burglaries in Denver, Georgetown and unincorporated Jefferson County.

At 1 p.m. on July 30, 2006, a male suspect entered the Diamond Shamrock store in Georgetown and engaged the store clerk in conversation. When the store clerk became distracted with customers, the suspect walked behind the counter and stole several thousand dollars from an unlocked safe. The suspect left the store before the employee discovered the burglary. The suspect is described as a Hispanic or light skinned African American male, 45-50 ...
