The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater issued the following news release:

Come celebrate women and help end violence against them by attending "The Vagina Monologues." University of Wisconsin-Whitewater faculty, staff and student will perform "The Vagina Monologues" in the Light Recital Hall at 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 13 and 14.

Eve Ensler wrote "The Vagina Monologues" as a series of vignettes highlighting experiences and treatment of women. This year's spotlight monologue, "What Happened to Peace," contributes to the 2007 V-Day theme of reclaiming peace. "The theme focuses on raising awareness of sexual violence committed as war crimes," Junior Jean Wennlund said.
