The Chicago Department of Housing issued the following news release:

Mayor Richard M. Daley today dedicated two new homes that are part of a new wave of development in the Englewood community.

The homes make up the development called New Homes for Englewood, which will consist of up to 141 new single-family homes and 44 two-flats - and include a mix of affordable and market rate homes.

"This development already has had a positive impact on the surrounding blocks," Daley said at a news conference in front of the two homes at 6200 and 6202 S.
