Neil Blackwood began making wooden knives at age 6. He took his father's industrial arts shop class in the eighth grade where he perfected his skill. Blackwood worked as a machinist for 25 years where he continued to work with tool steel and the equipment needed to make knives. Honing his talents, he collected the tools that he would need to make knives. Eventually, his hobby turned into a career.
