The Colorado Department of Transportation issued the following press release:

With the recent completion of the Poudre Rest Area near Fort Collins, the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) has completed a 10-year program to improve rest areas throughout the state.

In 1997, the Colorado Transportation Commission directed CDOT to implement recommendations to improve several of the state's 34 rest areas. Suggested upgrades were wide-ranging, from minor upgrades to complete relocations and reconstructions.
