Maine Maritime Academy issued the following news release:
Maine Maritime Academy will recognize students for outstanding service and leadership within the greater Castine community at the Sixth Annual Participation and Leadership Awards Banquet, to be held on Monday, April 9, 2007. The program is designed to honor truly distinctive and exceptional students who have contributed to Maine Maritime Academy or the community at large.
The top student achievement award is named in memory of the late Phyllis Tenney. A well-known Castine resident, Tenney served for more than 30 years as the college's social diretor and staff advisor to the service fraternity, Alpha Phi Omega (APO). The award ...
