Rep. R. Marion Berry, D-Ark. (1st CD), issued the following press release:
Rep. Marion Berry (D-AR) announced today that the U.S. Department of Homeland Security will begin to accept applications for its Fiscal Year 2007 Assistance to Firefighters Grant (AFG) program. The program will provide $492.3 million in funding to fire departments and nonaffiliated emergency management organizations across the nation. Applicants have until May 4th, 2007 to apply for assistance.
AFG awards assist first-responder organizations in purchasing response equipment, personal protective equipment, and vehicles. Awards are allocated through two AFG programs. The Operations and Safety program prioritizes ...
