Article: REP. BERRY ENCOURAGES FIRE DEPARTMENTS TO APPLY FOR DHS GRANT PROGRAM

Rep. R. Marion Berry, D-Ark. (1st CD), issued the following press release:

Rep. Marion Berry (D-AR) announced today that the U.S. Department of Homeland Security will begin to accept applications for its Fiscal Year 2007 Assistance to Firefighters Grant (AFG) program. The program will provide $492.3 million in funding to fire departments and nonaffiliated emergency management organizations across the nation. Applicants have until May 4th, 2007 to apply for assistance.
