ON the way to the local shopping emporium, we were driving behind a green minivan. Even in bright sunlight, you could see that the brake lights were on all the time. They came off once, briefly, as the driver accelerated across an intersection, then resumed their monotonous glow. Yes, folks, we had uncovered another left-foot braker.
