New Delhi, April 10 -- Rashtrapati Bhavan is considering opening up its musical garden on nominated days to enable artistes to perform.

This was disclosed by President Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam at the annual function of the Indian Music Academy here on Monday.

"In continuation of the effort of promoting classical music among the youth, in a natural environment of Mughal Garden, in Rashtrapati Bhavan a new musical garden has been created," Kalam said.

"Rashtrapati Bhavan is considering the opening up of musical garden on nominated days when artistes can perform in the backdrop of musical fountain," he added.
