The University of Wyoming issued the following news release:

Chief Washakie Memorial Scholarships have been awarded to 17 area students for the coming academic year at the University of Wyoming.

New recipients are Melvin Blackburn, a senior in social science; Kayla Cox, a senior in journalism; Jackie Dorothy, a senior in history; Blanche Friday, a Ph.D. candidate in interdisciplinary studies; Michael Friday, a freshman in wildlife biology; Shirely Mondragon, a junior in social science; Jayne Pearce, a graduate student in public administration; Jennifer Platt, a junior in elementary education; Virginia Wagner Baldes, a junior in social science; Shelley Warren, a junior in psychology; and ...
