Article: EPISCOPAL LEADER KATHARINE JEFFERTS SCHORI TO RETURN TO OREGON STATE UNIVERSITY FOR PUBLIC LECTURE

Oregon State University issued the following news release:

The Most Rev. Katharine Jefferts Schori, the first female presiding bishop of the Episcopal Church and a graduate of Oregon State University, will return to OSU on Thursday, April 19, where she will present a lecture on religion and science.

Her talk, which is free and open to the public, begins at 7 p.m. in the University Theatre, located in Withycombe Hall at 30th and Campus Way in Corvallis.

A native of Pensacola, Fla., Jefferts Schori earned a master's degree in oceanography from Oregon State in 1977 and a Ph.D. from OSU in 1983. She began her career as a biological oceanographer before pursuing a master of divinity degree, ...
