Article: 'New Delhi can win Asiad bid'

NEW DELHI, India, April 11 -- "New Delhi has a very good chance of winning the bid to host the Asian Games in 2014," said Suresh Kalmadi, president, Indian Olympic Association, at a press conference here on Wednesday.

The 45-member Olympic Council of Asia will vote on the bids on April 17 in Kuwait. Kalmadi, who is also the chairman of the 2014 Asian Games bid committee, feels New Delhi has a much better chance than its only contender, the South Korean city Incheon, as that country hosted the Asian Games in 2002 (Busan).
