Hain, not Reid
Having observed at close quarters the process that led to the historic commitment by both Ian Paisley and Gerry Adams to share power together from 8 May, I was astonished at John O'Farrell's report (Observations, 2 April).
John Reid played no part whatsoever in the process, as indeed Peter Robinson, deputy leader of the Democratic Unionist Party, told MPs on 27 March.
