Harper College issued the following news release:
The Chicago Children's Concert Choir, with a broad repertoire that includes traditional classical, modern pop, South African folk-songs and even Balinese chants, will make a rare suburban appearance for a special concert commemorating the group's fiftieth anniversary at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, April 28 in the Performing Arts Center of Harper College, Roselle and Algonquin Roads, Palatine.
Children from more than 68 Chicago public schools start out in choirs based out of their schools. As they progress musically, the children feed into neighborhood choirs, and may end up singing with one or more of the Chicago Children's Choirs ensembles made up ...
