Sinclair Community College issued the following news release:

The English Department at Sinclair Community College has announced the winners of its annual Creative Writing Contest. Authors of the winning entries were announced by Sinclair English Professor Charles Freeland and will be recognized at an awards ceremony on May 14.

There were four categories including adult fiction, adult poetry, adult non-fiction, high school and middle school/junior high school. In each category, prizes awarded were $60 for first place, $30 for second place, and $20 for third place. In addition to the category prizes, a Bill Vernon Prize of $100 will be ...
