Article: ROCKLAND COUNTY SPONSORS HUMAN RIGHTS FILM FESTIVAL

The Rockland County Executive issued the following press release:

County Executive C. Scott Vanderhoef announced today that on Monday, April 30th, the Rockland County Commission on Human Rights will launch a year-long film festival to promote understanding of human and civil rights in the County.

The purpose of the film festival is to promote Human Rights and to discuss ways to improve relations and understanding between various racial, religious and ethnic groups in the County. Films about Human Rights and the history of Civil Rights will be shown in several libraries throughout the County, and group discussions will follow each film.
